By registering for a Nashville Media Co workshop and completing payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms below.
1 Event overview
This agreement applies to all Nashville Media Co LLC workshops, including the Austin Video Workshop held February 27 and 28, 2026, and any related sessions, activities, or group events. “Participant,” “you,” and “your” refer to the individual who registers for and or attends the event.
2 Assumption of risk
By participating, you understand and agree that workshops involve physical movement, equipment handling, walking through homes or properties, and general conditions that may present risks, including but not limited to,
- Uneven surfaces, stairs, carpets, cords, and furniture
- Cables, lighting, tripods, stands, and filming gear
- Use of camera equipment such as gimbals, lenses, and tripods
- Crowded spaces or limited visibility
- Travel to and from the event location
You voluntarily assume all risks associated with attending and participating in the workshop, except where injuries result directly from Nashville Media Co gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
3 Release of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to the following,
- Release, waive, and discharge Nashville Media Co LLC, its owners, staff, contractors, coaches, event partners, and venue hosts from all claims arising out of your participation, including injury, property damage, or death
- Agree not to sue Nashville Media Co or any of the parties listed above
- Agree to hold harmless and indemnify Nashville Media Co from claims brought by others that relate to your actions during the event
This release includes incidents caused by slips, trips, loss of balance, collisions with equipment, or accidents caused by your own negligence or lack of awareness.
4 No refund policy
All workshop sales are final and nonrefundable for any reason, including but not limited to,
- Schedule changes
- Travel complications
- Personal emergencies
- Expectations of value or perceived dissatisfaction
By completing registration, you acknowledge that,
- You are not entitled to any refund or chargeback
- You may request a ticket transfer to another individual with Nashville Media Co approval
- Nashville Media Co is not obligated to transfer your ticket to a future event
If the event is postponed or delayed due to circumstances outside our control, such as weather, venue issues, or travel interruptions, your ticket will be honored for the rescheduled date. If the event is fully canceled by Nashville Media Co, our sole obligation is to refund your ticket price.
5 Behavior and removal
Nashville Media Co reserves the right to remove any participant from the event without refund for any of the following,
- Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior
- Harassment of staff or attendees
- Operating equipment in a dangerous manner
- Intoxication or impairment
- Ignoring instructions from staff or coaches
6 Personal belongings
Nashville Media Co is not responsible for,
- Lost or stolen items
- Damaged personal equipment
- Theft at the property or during travel
- Any damage to your gear caused by improper handling
You are responsible for your own belongings at all times.
7 Media release
By attending, you grant Nashville Media Co LLC the following rights,
- Permission to photograph, film, and record you during the event
- The right to use your image, voice, and likeness in marketing, promotion, social media, advertising, and training materials
- A permanent, royalty free, worldwide license to use such media
- A waiver of any right to inspect or approve final materials
If you have concerns about being filmed, you must notify us before the event so we can discuss reasonable accommodations.
8 Health and safety
You represent that,
- You are physically capable of participating in workshop activities
- You will behave responsibly around equipment and other attendees
- You will follow all safety instructions
Nashville Media Co may remove you from an activity if we believe your participation presents a hazard to yourself or others.
9 Plus one attendees
If you purchase a ticket with a plus one, your additional attendee must,
- Sign the same liability waiver upon arrival
- Acknowledge all risks and responsibilities
- Follow all safety guidelines and instructions
No individual may participate in workshop activities without signing the on site waiver.
10 Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any disputes will be handled exclusively in courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee, unless applicable law requires a different venue.
11 Acceptance
By completing payment for any Nashville Media Co workshop, you agree that,
- You have read and understood this agreement
- You voluntarily accept all terms
- You fully assume all risks and waive all applicable claims
- All sales are final
- This agreement is legally binding upon you
